Fascinated with art as a child, and won her first award at age nine at school art show.

The involvement and desire and love of drawing and painting stood the test of raising five children and traveling as a Military wife.

She worked 21 years in the Medical Business Administration, while pershing her interest in Art.  She took workshops from, Pastellist Phillip Lekka,  Also with Bonnie Sears and Mary Jones through Gwinnett Council for the arts.  Participated in life drawing group classes in Atlanta Ga.

She has won first, second , third and merit awards when exhibiting in group shows.  She was accepted into two international juror shows with the Southeastern Pastel Society .

She has artwork in private homes in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia and Florida.

In 1989 suffered a major illness (Brain Aneurysm) but recovered and back to work in less than a year.  Again a few years later was absent from the art world for a number of years while taking care of a very sick  family member.

She has been a member of Gwinnett Council of the arts, Georgia Art council, A.R.T. station , Georgia Visual Arts Alliance

Monroe Art Guild and Southeastern Pastel Society.

Current member of Sebastian River Art Club and Vero Beach Art Club.
