Linda Salsbury Weinstein
Linda Salsbury Weinstein began her career in pottery in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, in the early 1970’s when attending classes given by a well known functional potter from the island of Antiqua. From her home, overlooking Magens Bay, she produced pieces which were sold in fine shops and gardening centers.
When returning stateside, she continued classes at Virginia Commonwealth University and the Hand Workshop in Richmond, VA. In August, 2011, she attended Penland School, outside of Asheville, NC, for classes in intensive throwing and altering techniques.
She has had home studios in St. Thomas, VI, Midlothian, VA, Louisa, VA, Goochland, VA, Vero Beach, FL, Barefoot Bay, FL, and now in Sebastian, she continues to enjoy the creative aspects of forming unique functional pieces that can be enjoyed for many years to come.
