Artist Bio

In late 2018 Michele and her husband, Ron, traded in the cold, snow and ice of Massachusetts for the sun, surf and warmth of the Treasure Coast in Florida and never looked back.

Settling in Sebastian, Michele was thrilled to find an active and talented Arts and Photographic community.

Michele's professional career in Massachusetts spanned 25 plus years.  During this time she also taught Photoshop classes through various evening Adult Education Programs and worked for several Photo Studios doing photo retouching and restoration work, as well as "all things Photoshop."

Michele holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from National University in San Diego, California and is a thirteen year Navy Veteran.

Although primarily a photographer and digital artist, she also enjoys creating images in acrylics, oils, and pen and ink as well as drawing using Graphite.

Artist Statement

The computer has opened up a whole new world of artistic possibilities. The screen is the canvas;  the Pen and Tablet - the instruments.  Colors are kept on a digital palette. There are an infinite number of  brushes with which to work.  One is limited only by time and imagination - two things that an artist cannot do without.  Time to think;   imagination to envision - to create in one’s mind’s eye,- to visualize, and then – finally - to use artistic skills and tools to implement that vision.

As photography has slowly come to be accepted in the world of art, so, too, are we seeing digital creations taking their rightful place in the modern world of  art.  As new technologies are created, artists will find a way to turn to these technologies to create masterful images capturing our ever-changing world in new and innovative ways.(Michele Loftus-Trzcinski)
